What is therapy like?

Every therapy session is unique and tailored to each individual and their needs.

Do I really need therapy?

Individuals consider therapy for various reasons, including navigating personal growth, addressing interpersonal relationships, managing family concerns, resolving marriage issues, and dealing with the challenges of daily life. Therapy offers valuable support, equips individuals with problem-solving skills, and enhances coping strategies for a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, unresolved childhood issues, grief, stress management, body image concerns, and overcoming creative blocks.

Do you take insurance?

We happily accept a range of insurance policies, though it does vary by counselor. Feel free to reach out and check with us to make sure your specific insurance plan is covered and to confirm the details of your mental health counseling coverage before you kick off your counseling journey. We've got your back and will handle filing claims directly with your insurance company as a friendly gesture. Just a heads up, it's super important for you to keep us in the loop with any updates or changes to your policy while you're working with us – we want to make sure everything runs smoothly!
For those awesome clients we're out of network for, don't worry. Your counselor can hook you up with a "Super Bill," which is basically a detailed invoice for services. You can send this to your insurance company, and hopefully, recoup some of those out-of-pocket costs. When it comes to payments, whether it's co-insurance, deductible, or the full out-of-pocket fee, we like to keep things simple – payment is due when services are rendered.
Now, here's a quick heads up: usually, life coaching (when there's no mental health diagnosis involved) and marital counseling might not be covered by insurance. We get it, choosing us to help you navigate life's challenges is an investment of time, energy, and money, and we're committed to being good stewards of all three.

How do I find the right therapist for me?

Many people wonder about how to find a therapist that really fits their needs, preferences, and unique challenges. It's a common question that involves thinking about things like the therapist's expertise, their approach to therapy, when they're available, and the overall vibe of the therapeutic relationship. People often seek advice on where to start, what questions to ask potential therapists, and how to take that difficult and scary step of starting the process of therapy. It's all about finding that perfect match for your journey!
