Counseling Services

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING Navigating life can be challenging. The pressures of marriage, parenting, work, school, and our mental well-being can become overwhelming. No matter what challenges you're facing, counseling offers support. Having someone to listen, provide encouragement, and guide you back to a sense of truth can be the crucial difference between finding recovery and succumbing to hopelessness. We offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy services for individuals and couples across various age groups, addressing common challenges such as anxiety, depression, enhancement of coping and social skills, stress and anger management, and relationship improvement. COUPLES COUNSELING Building and sustaining meaningful relationships requires considerable effort and attention. Whether you're seeking to deepen your connection or facing challenges that seem insurmountable, counseling can be a valuable resource. We provide practical tools and strategies to enhance communication, establish and uphold healthy boundaries, and fortify the foundation of your relationship, enabling you to discover new levels of intimacy. While the process demands time, effort, and commitment, I've witnessed couples overcome even the most challenging "irreconcilable differences" when both partners are dedicated to love and willing to shed negative habits, beliefs, and behaviors detrimental to their relationship. For couples contemplating marriage or engaged, we offer premarital counseling sessions. As a certified professional with SYMBIS and Prepare/Enrich, I can guide you in evaluating your readiness for marriage, identifying strengths, and addressing potential challenges on your journey together. FAMILY THERAPY Family therapy is a highly effective method for enhancing the overall functioning of a family, often complementing individual therapy within our practice. When an individual, whether a child or an adult, is undergoing individual therapy, the presence of familial support and a willingness to embrace change among all family members significantly accelerates progress. Family therapy fosters improved communication and identifies areas where each family member can make positive changes. Navigating the process of finding the right therapist can be challenging, but please feel free to reach out to us via call, text, or email with any questions. Whether through individual therapy, couples therapy, or family therapy, our goal is to contribute to an overall enhancement in the quality of life and life balance. We sincerely hope you choose to entrust us with guiding you and your family on this transformative journey. CHILD THERAPY We recognize the significance of tending to the mental health needs of children early on to safeguard their healthy development. What is therapy like?

Every therapy session is unique and tailored to each individual and their needs.

Do I really need therapy?

Individuals consider therapy for various reasons, including navigating personal growth, addressing interpersonal relationships, managing family concerns, resolving marriage issues, and dealing with the challenges of daily life. Therapy offers valuable support, equips individuals with problem-solving skills, and enhances coping strategies for a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, unresolved childhood issues, grief, stress management, body image concerns, and overcoming creative blocks.

Do you take insurance?

We happily accept a range of insurance policies, though it does vary by counselor. Feel free to reach out and check with us to make sure your specific insurance plan is covered and to confirm the details of your mental health counseling coverage before you kick off your counseling journey. We've got your back and will handle filing claims directly with your insurance company as a friendly gesture. Just a heads up, it's super important for you to keep us in the loop with any updates or changes to your policy while you're working with us – we want to make sure everything runs smoothly!
For those awesome clients we're out of network for, don't worry. Your counselor can hook you up with a "Super Bill," which is basically a detailed invoice for services. You can send this to your insurance company, and hopefully, recoup some of those out-of-pocket costs. When it comes to payments, whether it's co-insurance, deductible, or the full out-of-pocket fee, we like to keep things simple – payment is due when services are rendered.
Now, here's a quick heads up: usually, life coaching (when there's no mental health diagnosis involved) and marital counseling might not be covered by insurance. We get it, choosing us to help you navigate life's challenges is an investment of time, energy, and money, and we're committed to being good stewards of all three.
